About Us

Stronger Together

The Burgess Hill Parent-Teacher Committee (BHPTAC) is a collaborative organization consisting of the Burgess Hill Schools PTA's and Friends Groups. Its primary purpose is to facilitate coordination among these groups in order to maximize their effectiveness and impact on the Burgess Hill primary community.

One of the key objectives of the BHPTAC is to prevent event overlap among the various PTAs and Friends Groups. By sharing event dates, they can avoid scheduling conflicts that might limit attendance and fundraising potential. This ensures that each group has an opportunity to hold successful events and raise funds for their respective schools or causes.

In addition to coordinating event dates, the BHPTAC encourages the sharing of resources such as gazebos and stalls. This collaborative approach allows groups to pool their resources and reduce expenses. By working together, they can maximize their efficiency and provide better support to the Burgess Hill primary community.

The BHPTAC also serves as a platform for sharing ideas and best practices among the different PTAs and Friends Groups. This exchange of knowledge and experiences enables them to learn from one another and implement successful strategies in their own organizations. By leveraging collective wisdom, the BHPTAC aims to enhance the overall effectiveness of the Burgess Hill primary community.

Furthermore, the BHPTAC collaborates with other sister organizations such as the Burgess Hill Business Association (BHBA) and the Burgess Hill Sport Council (BHSC). This partnership allows them to tap into additional resources and support. For example, by working with the BHBA, they can secure donations more easily, while collaborating with the BHSC enables them to promote sports participation among children, regardless of financial hardships.

All these efforts are undertaken under the parent group Burgess Hill Together (BHT), which serves as an umbrella organization fostering collaboration and synergy among various community groups in Burgess Hill. By working together, these organizations strive to create a more cohesive and supportive environment for the Burgess Hill primary community as a whole.
